Size of the duvet cover

Duvets are made in different standard sizes, depending on the bed they are made for. That is why duvet covers must always fit the size of your duvet. Please note that duvets can vary in thickness. The duvet cover should therefore always be slightly larger than the duvet.

Material

High quality duvet covers are made of poly-fiber. Poly-fiber is made with extremely fine, synthetic fibers and is an excellent material for people who sweat a lot at night. The small fibers cause the moisture to evaporate instead of being absorbed into the blanket. The fibers are often brushed for more softness. Poly-fiber duvet covers are more durable and resistant to dirt, stains and fading than cotton duvet covers.

Compound

A duvet cover is made by sewing two rectangular sheets of material together. Often one side is left open into which the duvet can be slid. Some covers are made by sewing the sheets on all sides and cutting one sheet in half so that the duvet can be inserted into it.
