Using different types of towels
Towels come in many variations and can be used in different ways. There are bath towels, beach towels, regular towels, face towels, tea towels and sports towels. Towels are available in different types of materials, weights and prices. Full organic cotton towels are sustainable and very popular these days. On this page you can read all about the uses of different types of towels.
Bath towels
A bath towel is a very large cloth with which you can dry your body after getting out of the bath or shower. You can also use this as a foot mat to step on when you get out of the bath, or as a cover for your body or hair.
Bath towels
Bath towels, or beach towels, can generally be used when you go to the beach for a day. The bath towel is large enough so that you can lie comfortably on the sand without your head or feet getting covered in sand.
Towel
The regular towel is a small towel that you use to dry your hands. This is, for example, the towel that you hang in the toilet or in the kitchen. In a smaller size, it is also called a face towel or guest towel, the size is usually a small square the size of approximately the width of your hand. You can use this to clean your face.
Tea towels
Tea towels are usually used in the kitchen to dry clean dishes. They are also very useful to place on the shelves of kitchen cupboards to absorb excess water. Food items such as baked bread or cookies can be covered with a clean tea towel to keep them fresh for as long as possible. You can also place tea towels between plates, pots or pans to protect them from scratches.
Sports towels
Sports towels have extremely absorbent properties and are made of a sturdy material. These towels can be taken to the gym and offer the ability to absorb as much sweat as possible during exercise.
